Easter Weekend Update

We had a great (and very busy) Easter weekend!  We hosted 45 plus on Good Friday.  Despite my house smelling like a giant worm (due to the rain) it went well!  Sis-in-law was my co-host and it was a huge success.  It tunred into quite the party - complete with singing and dancing to the jukebox.  The first wave which consisted of the average median age of 85 left around 10pm and the second wave trickled in.  We had the right amount of food and beverage - love when that works out!  On Saturday my family came over for Easter dinner and all went well.  Some minor cleaning and meal in the oven that RB cooked (7 lb prime rib - a speciality) went great!  The kids did an Easter egg hunt outside (finally a sunny day).  It was a fun get-together.  Sunday RB took MCB to see the Easter Bunny at his work and then continued to work the rest of the day.  MCB also found her basket left by Ms Bunny and was thrilled with all the fun surprise treats - especially a new Strawberry Shortcake play set.   MCB and I went to A2 for another feast cooked for 50 plus.  Again a nice day so finally some bounce-house action for the kids and fresh air.  Sadly we said goodbye to everybody this mornning as MCB was not happy to get back into routine.

Next up learning to post pic's --- I never to seem to remember my camera but now i have a reason to bring it along with the hopes I will master pic posting!

It worked

Hey it worked - it really really worked!  I am so proud of myself - first you must understand I am technology challenged - and the world's worst speller --- so an apology up-front for all my grammer and spelling errors!

It is still Thursday here (the day before Good Friday) and so I thought I would capture my first day of the B Family Easter.  This Easter weekend is going to be crazy with all the B's heading in for the long Easter Holiday weekend.  All of RB's siblings and extended family are making their way in from all over the world.  A family dinner will kick off tonight at the in-law's and then we are on-board for a 45 plus person Good Friday Gathering!  I am trying to pull it off without losing my mind!  My partner-in-crime on this is my sis-in-law (that is how the B Family does things - always a partner to share costs, ideas etc.) so we are figuring out how to serve 45 plus on a veggie menu (and unfortunately meat is our specialty!).  On Saturday I will be hosting my family of our Easter meal/get-to-gether but that is only 9 people - should be a snap minus the dirty house we will be confined to - given that it will be 45 degrees and rain.  Friday's menu will be pizza, pasta, salad, hors d' oeurves, and fun desserts housed inside painted pots (pink and green with pokki dots - of course) (that is if i can get my act together to finish them) and Saturday is Prime Rib (to make up for the lack of meat from Fri).  Between house guests and cooking it will be a busy Easter holiday - something I am not used too since my family usually dines out for Brunch on Easter - oh and did I mention Bob is working ALL weekend?

Happy Thursday

My first post in capturing the tales of the "B" Family!  MCB is going on 3.5 and i have yet to start a baby book (although on my to do list) or capture any milestones, funny events or even photographs of my precious baby girl - so better late than never right?  I have been wanting to create a blog for some time but have never had the courage or time to learn how --- so today is the day!  I look forweard to capturing all those "moments" that have seemed to have slipped by without warning!  I had thought i would be able to remember, capture and log all of our fond memories in the ol'memory bank but i am finding that i am out of room upstairs - hense the birth of this blog!

MCB loves her some pokki dots (clothes etc.) (ok who am i kidding i to do - and if they are pink and green even better!) -and since this was a bit of an impulse blog-start-up i had to think fast and feriously for a name --- so a star is born - Welcome to Pink and Green Polki Dots!  I look forward to sharing all the tales, adventures and outings of our Family of 3 - me, my precious baby girl (ok she is almost 3.5 but still my baby) MCB and my loving husband RB - Here we go!
